Privacy notice
Updated 10 September 2026.
Who is responsible for your information
Fixright Services Ltd is responsible for the information you provide when you enquire through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17181675. Our registered office is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@fixrightservices.co.uk or write to our registered office.
Information we collect
Our enquiry form asks for your name, preferred contact method, the contact details needed to respond, property postcode and a description of the problem or requested work. You can choose to attach photographs or other relevant files. We also receive the information you include in later conversations about your enquiry.
Please do not include identity documents, access codes, photographs of people or unrelated private information. We can arrange any necessary property access details separately.
You do not have to use the form. Without enough contact and job information, we may be unable to respond or assess your request. Attachments are optional. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or sign you up to marketing.
How and why we use it
We use your information to understand the request, check the area and work involved, contact you, prepare a quotation and arrange agreed work.
Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or we carry out that contract, we use the information needed for those purposes on that basis. Where you contact us on behalf of a business or another person, our legitimate interest is to respond to the enquiry and coordinate the requested work with the appropriate people.
We may use relevant records to resolve complaints or disputes, in our legitimate interest of keeping an accurate record of our work and protecting legal rights. Where a legal obligation requires a record, we use the information to meet that obligation.
The website also processes technical information needed to receive requests and protect the service against misuse. Our legitimate interest is to operate a working, secure enquiry service.
Who handles website enquiries
The website is hosted by IONOS. The website sends enquiry emails through its IONOS hosting service to our business inbox, provided through Google. There is no separate IONOS mailbox for these enquiries. These services process information needed to provide hosting and email delivery.
If you choose a WhatsApp or social-media link, you open that provider’s service. Its privacy information applies to its handling of your information. Our handling of an enquiry you send to us remains subject to this notice.
Administrative assistance
We use authorised assistance to review business correspondence and improve our enquiry service, including AI assistance provided by OpenAI. Relevant correspondence or job records may be processed for that work. Our legitimate interest is to organise records, check our service and respond accurately. We limit the information used to what the task needs and avoid unrelated or sensitive personal details.
Our enquiry form does not make automated decisions about accepting a job, its price or a confirmed appointment. Those arrangements are agreed with the business.
International processing
Information handled by our technology providers may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Google describes international processing and the safeguards it uses, including adequacy arrangements and standard contractual clauses where applicable, in its data-transfer information. IONOS and OpenAI describe their international processing in their IONOS privacy notice and OpenAI Europe privacy policy.
The arrangements depend on the provider and service involved. These links explain the providers’ published safeguards; they are not a claim that every record is stored in the UK. Contact info@fixrightservices.co.uk for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry or to request a copy of applicable safeguards.
How long we keep information
We decide how long a record is needed by its purpose:
- For enquiries that do not become jobs, we consider whether the quotation or discussion is still active and whether a specific unresolved issue requires the record. Once those reasons end, we delete or anonymise the information.
- For agreed work, we consider what is needed to carry out and document the job, settle payment and deal with an outstanding complaint or a reasonably foreseeable legal claim. Applicable accounting or other legal requirements may require selected records to be kept longer.
- We consider photographs and attachments separately. We keep them while needed to assess or document the work or resolve an issue, rather than automatically keeping every attachment for as long as an invoice.
- We consider technical security records against the need to investigate misuse and operate the service. Provider-controlled logs and backup copies follow the applicable provider retention arrangements.
We review whether these reasons still apply and remove information that is no longer needed. We do not retain enquiries indefinitely just because they might be useful later. Removal from a live system may not immediately remove every provider backup copy.
Website measurement
This website does not load Google Analytics or advertising tags. Hosting and email services still process technical information to deliver and protect their services. An enquiry is not permission to send marketing.
Your rights
Depending on the processing and the applicable conditions, you can ask to access your information, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. Some records may need to be kept to meet a legal obligation or deal with a legal claim.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Tell us your circumstances by emailing info@fixrightservices.co.uk so we can consider your request.
If we ask for your consent for a separate use, you can withdraw that consent by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent.
You can contact us with a concern and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
